Eco-daycare?

By enrolling your child with Nurture Eco- daycare you will be placing your child in the capable hands of an energetic, earth-loving, green business operating experienced mother of two. Currently we are pursuing Eco-healthy certification from an environmental organization in Oregon.

Additionally, you will be supporting principles of environmental protection as we choose environmentally friendly foods and goods, and support our Niagara area businesses.  We will also be assisting children to achieve a future that supports sustainable living.

Nurture Eco-daycare provides:

* A program extending beyond the current standards, to include environmental awareness and green living habits which are healthy for individuals, families and communities.

* A truly safe physical environment that is chemical-free and non-toxic; all interior paints are no VOC, household cleansers and detergents are plant based.  Children will be playing on steam cleaned pliable cork flooring or recycled tile.

* Tasty organic / local / seasonal home prepared kid friendly snacks and meals, with a focus on “super foods” and strict avoidance of traditionally farmed “dirty dozen” items.

* Cloth diapering option @ $2 per day and provided by a Niagara eco-friendly service.  All hygiene products are child formulated and organic.

* A variety of natural and recycled toys, crafts and furnishings in two rooms filled with natural lighting to enhance and relax the at home child care / early learning experience.

* An extended outdoor program that fully supports a child’s physical and emotional development.

* A grass roots approach to child care and early educating which acknowledges the value of both modern technology and the simplicity of childhood.

* The personal commitment and passion to this vision and lifestyle of the owner operator of Nurture Eco daycare.
